December 2010

In 2011, we will celebrate 20 years of successful service delivery.  HSC has remained strong for 20 years by finding opportunities along two dimensions.  First, we develop new and innovative methods and tools to help our current clients advance their organizations.  Second, we bring proven, existing services to new clients.

Along the first dimension, we have delivered new and evolved services to many of our clients.  These new services include Business Process Improvement, enhanced Project Management services, and specific HIPAA compliance services, including ICD-10 transformation.  One reason our clients remain loyal is that the HSC team does not “rest on laurels” or become content with status quo.  Our clients are striving to advance and we are viewed as a valuable partner, advisor, and facilitator in that effort.

Along the second dimension, we have been fortunate to secure new clients and business partners.  In addition to new California State clients, HSC works with CSG Government Solutions in Iowa, with Public Consulting Group (PCG) in Rhode Island, and with Hewlett Packard (HP) here in California.

On a macro level, I believe that in 2011 we will continue to see slow growth out of the recession.  There will be continued focus on health care as the national reform initiative takes shape.  We will pay close attention to congressional activities and court decisions that may affect the current law. Regardless of the direction, our clients will face challenges in maximizing the benefits of technology, streamlining and organizing complex business processes, ensuring privacy and security of Protected Health Information (PHI), and complying with Federal and State mandates.  Our services and expertise will be in demand in 2011.  Our challenge will be to keep pressing to deliver more value by helping our clients solve problems, seize opportunities, and manage risks.

One of HSC’s core values is “Continued Professional Improvement”.   The conditions of 2011 will spotlight the importance of such efforts, as highly skilled and effective consulting teams differentiate from the competition. I am proud of the HSC team, and know that we will continue to find innovative ways to support our clients by delivering more value every day.

Many will remember 2010 as a year of economic challenges.  While the US is starting to emerge from “The Great Recession”, the GDP growth is anemic by historic post-recession recovery standards.  The HSC team continues to find additional ways to support our clients as they try to do more with less.

Our record of successful service delivery is most important during these difficult times.  Clients really must be able to trust their business partners and know that they are getting excellent value.  Our clients have remained loyal and we continue to provide value every day.

Thank you for stopping by and visiting the HSC website. I welcome any questions or comments.  bhubbert@hubbertsystems.com
